Erin Starzyk

Director of Health Services Research and Evaluation, HealthHIV

Dr. Erin Starzyk is HealthHIV’s Director of Health Services Research and Evaluation. She has worked in the field of HIV, STIs, and Viral Hepatitis for over fifteen years in various capacities from non-profit organizations to state health departments to academic research institutions. Dr. Starzyk is a mixed methodologist implementing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies in order to comprehensively explore, understand, and disrupt STI, HIV and viral hepatitis epidemics through a health equity lens. She has developed and administered evaluation plans for HIV, STIs and viral hepatitis at local, state, and federal levels to synthesize and triangulate the multi-level data sources to understand the totality, scope, and the breadth of the issue.  Dr. Starzyk received her doctorate of Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her masters of Public Health from Boston University.
