Dr. Gerran Thomas is a pharmacist, media communications professional and Clinical Capacity Building Assistance Manager at HealthHIV. In that role, Dr. Thomas is responsible for leading capacity building assistance, conducting needs assessments and continuous quality improvement activities, and developing competency-based curriculum to advance knowledge and skills of learners. Throughout his time in pharmacy, Dr. Thomas has worked with prescribers to combat the opioid epidemic by recommending pain medication regimens that reduce the risk of patient addiction and overdose. He earned a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Lipscomb University, a Masters in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor’s of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
