Gretchen Weiss

Co-Director of the JSI and World Education Center for HIV & Infectious Diseases

Gretchen Weiss is the Co-Director of the JSI and World Education Center for HIV & Infectious Diseases. She has more than 15 years of experience implementing local, state, regional, and national projects. She provides leadership and technical assistance through JSI’s federally funded projects focused on ending the HIV epidemic in the United States, integrating HIV prevention and care efforts, and improving systems of care for people with HIV and substance use disorder. Gretchen works to align JSI’s work with the domestic HIV response through participation in national coalitions, including the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership, and engagement with national and community partners and stakeholders. Prior to joining JSI in 2019, Gretchen was the Director of the HIV, STI, and Viral Hepatitis program at the National Association of County and City Health Officials.
