Moya Brown-Lopez

Director of Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH)

Moya Brown-Lopez, MPH, MS, MCHES is a public health advocate who brings a background in youth development and comprehensive sex education.  She has been working in HIV prevention for the past twenty years and is originally from Maryland.  Currently, Moya leads the CBA technical assistance program within the NYC DOHMH’s Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and STI.  She does this work to address the inequities and discrimination experienced by stigmatized and underserved individuals, especially youth, people of color, and people who use drugs.  Moya is also the mom of a toddler and in the process of attaining a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree.
