Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, health education specialists, and other allied healthcare professionals engaged in the care of patients with HIV.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Implement strategies related to the national initiatives to end the epidemics.
- Describe the effect of utilization management strategies on access to PrEP treatments, uptake, and utilization.
- Demonstrate ability to create new partnerships and implement a synchronized approach across multiple disciplines when addressing patient/client care.
- Identify current national, state and local efforts to increase patient access to care.
- Apply the integration of HIV, HCV, STI and other communicable diseases’ prevention and care services into primary healthcare.
- Identify information, resources and tools to sustain and evolve in a dynamic environment and adequately address the needs of the providers, patients, and those in need.
- Discuss methods for tracking, monitoring, and spending program income.
